Revit implementation [in progress]

Updated: 03/04/2011

GD-INCO, a consultancy firm specialized in MEP engineering services has hired Osome to guide the implementation of Autodesk Revit in the Architecture and Structure versions.

GD-INCO holds extensive experience in the AEC industry and has been working with MEP BIM solutions for several years. Now GD-INCO has decided to extend its bet on BIM philosophy to all of its work areas and we are very happy to be able to help them in this adventure.

Besides, this implementation has the added bonus that one of the main points interesting GD-INCO is the interoperability and linking of Revit with other programs, paying special atention to Robot Structural Analysis and its integration with Revit Structure. In this sense Osome will support GD-INCO in the definition of work-flows and methodologies in order to ensure the right performance of their work-flow. We will also help them to discover the particulars of the connection between Revit and Robot, which are quite unclear still today.

At Osome we have proposed the implementation as a 3-months process completely linked to a real project with firm deadlines. The whole project will take us to develop training and modeling tasks. The areas of work present in this project range from CAD training and BIM consultancy to application and procedure development for program connection as well as project review from geometric and structural point of view.
